چکیده
This study evaluated the feasibility of using methyl ester prepared from waste cooking oil for electrical insulation in distribution transformers. Methyl is produced by a transesterification reaction between and methanol sodium hydroxide as catalyst. The physicochemical parameters breakdown voltage were determined. effects ageing on voltage, viscosity acid value also investigated. In addition, Kraft paper impregnated with was Experimental results showed that had low (5.17 cSt) high (40.3 kV). Other meet ASTM D6871 except pour flash points. Ageing insignificantly affected ester. After ageing, increased to 42.1 kV. However, 23.5% 79.2 times. Finally, about 5-10% lower than mineral oil.

متن کاملBioremediation of cooking oil waste using lipases from wastes
Cooking oil waste leads to well-known environmental impacts and its bioremediation by lipase-based enzymatic activity can minimize the high cytotoxic potential. In addition, they are among the biocatalysts most commercialized worldwide due to the versatility of reactions and substrates. However, although lipases are able to process cooking oil wastes, the products generated from this process do...

In order to produce biodiesel from waste cooking oil and optimize its yield, a two-stage process of esterification/ transesterification has been used in this study. First, we used the acidic catalysts H2SO4 in order to diminish the content of free fatty acid (FFA) in oil that caused reducing the oil acidity from 6.1% to 0.57% through esterification. Then, the biodiesel was produced by transeste...

Solvent-free copolymerization of epoxides derived from fatty esters of waste cooking oil with phthalic anhydride using (salen)CrIIICl as catalyst and n-Bu₄NCl/DMAP (tetrabutylammonium chloride/4-(dimethylamino)pyridine) as co-catalysts was carried out for the first time under microwave irradiation, where reaction time was reduced from a number of hours to minutes. The polyesters were obtained w...
